1. Safety First!

Always check the labels on the products you use and adhere to the safety guidelines recommended by the manufacturer. If the product recommends protection, you should wear gloves, eyewear, and a mask to ensure the eyes, lungs, and hands are safe.

Make sure you work in a well-ventilated space. Dispose of rags that have been soaked in mineral spirits and oil-based paints by placing them in water because they may be potentially flammable.

2. Get rid of the cabinet doors as well as drawers, and remove any other hardware.

Remove the knobs from the cabinet. If you have only a handful of cabinets, you may leave them in their place. In other cases, you can remove the cabinet doors.
